Clinical Supervision
Supervision has been central to my working life for most of my career. My first formal qualification was in management supervision for health and social care professionals, gained while leading a multidisciplinary team in Social Services — and I have supervised and led teams ever since.
Over that time I have supervised practitioners across almost the full range of clinical and helping professions — consultant psychiatrists, doctors and psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists and social workers, and, more recently, psychotherapists and counsellors. Working across disciplines has been central to my supervision from the outset, and it means I am equally at home supervising senior, multidisciplinary clinicians and those earlier in their careers.
How I work
My supervision is genuinely warm and supportive — a space to think clearly and honestly about the work itself, about how you are managing your practice, and about the challenges that inevitably arise. My aim is for you to feel well supported, and to come away clearer and more resourced for the work ahead.
I draw on a broad base of knowledge and training: integrative psychotherapy, trauma, EMDR and EFT, nursing and social work, and a background spanning mental health, child protection and complex care. That breadth means I can work with a wide range of clinical material and bring fresh perspectives to whatever you raise in supervision.
Individual supervision is usually ongoing, with a focus on your professional growth, on building a sustainable practice, and on caring for yourself in work that asks a great deal of you.
I also run supervision groups from September to June, both online and in person.
I warmly welcome enquiries — whether you're looking for individual supervision or hoping to set up a group with colleagues. Please do get in touch.
